| Jerome Seinfeld was born on 29th April 1954 in New York of Jewish parents. His schooling was in New York and when he turned 17 he did a short stint of volunteer work for Kibbutz Sa’ar, Israel. He graduated from Queens College City University in New York. He indulged in amateur wrestling while in college and had nicknamed himself “The Jewish Terror”.
Jerome Seinfeld’s interest in comedy developed while he was at college and he participated in some of the college productions. After completing his graduation he joined Catch A Rising Star in New York City and shortly afterwards he showed up in a special of Rodney Dangerfield HBO. This was the beginning of his stand-up comedy shows.
Jerome Seinfeld has won Emmy awards and a Golden Globe as a writer, actor and American comedian. His best known comedy is a semi fiction on himself in “Seinfeld”. He assisted in the writing, creating and also produced the shows two final seasons. He played a part very successfully in The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and later Jerome Seinfeld became a recurring participant in similar performances. With his dedication and devotion to his work, he ranked 12th amongst the 100 greats of all time, in Comedy Central’s records. |
